Lap sponge is made of 100% cotton gauze added with barium sulfate tracking X-ray thread (du sheet), processed by a special process. It is commonly used in intracorporeal surgery in European and American hospitals.
Advantage: the sponge has a barium sulfate tracking line (film), which can be developed under X-ray irradiation to prevent the gauze from being left in the patient's body.
